Memberships, renewals and competition entries all run through Game Day Manager NZ (GDMNZ), an app built for New Zealand fishing clubs. Pay your sub and your entry fees in the app, submit your catches and follow the results.
Why use the app?
- Watch the live leaderboards from the start of each comp, right up until the blackout before the finish, when the board goes dark to keep the final placings a surprise for prizegiving.
- Collect your pins, like the 80cm club pin, all in one place.
- No more writing a number on your mat. Your competition number is added to your catch automatically.
- See when your fish is confirmed by the committee, so you know it's on the board.
- Enter comps and pay in a couple of taps, including registering your boat and crew.
- Keep up to date with club announcements, straight to your phone.
- Join or renew your membership without filling in a form.
- Less work for the committee. Entries, payments and catches go straight into the system instead of being typed up by hand, so our volunteers spend less time on paperwork and more time fishing.
Get set up
Install the app
Download Game Day Manager from the App Store or Google Play using the buttons above.
Sign up
Open the app and create your account. Use the email address the club has for you, so the app can match you to your membership.
Important: after you first log in, go to Profile, scroll to the bottom and tap Check for update. GDMNZ are still working on a fix so you won't need to do this, but for now it makes sure you have the latest version.
Join or renew
If we already have your email and your membership is up to date, you should already be a member of Poenamo Fishing Club in the app, and there's nothing more to do.
If not, go to Profile → My Memberships, find Poenamo Fishing Club and tap Join, then complete the form. Payment is done right there in the app. Haven't renewed your sub yet? You can renew in the app too.
Family membership? On the join page, tap Add a family member for each person in your family.
Get confirmed
We'll confirm your membership in the app, and you're good to go. A committee member does this by hand, so it can take up to 24 hours.
Enter a competition
Find the comp
In the app, search for the competition you want to enter. The dates are on the competitions calendar.
Register
Register and pay the entry fee in the app. You can register just yourself. If you're fishing on a boat, your skipper can register you with the boat, or you can register yourself.
Submit your catches
Photograph your fish on an official club mat and submit it through the app. Your competition number shows up in the app at midnight before the comp starts, and the app adds it to your catch automatically, so you don't need to write it on your mat.
Can't use the app? Write your number on the mat so it shows clearly in the photo, and email it to comp@poenamofishingclub.co.nz. Club rules apply.
